Tejas is actually a lot slower than other trains.
A quick look at Trains at a Glance Oct 2016 Book Says 11209 Tejas will depart CST at 00:20 hrs to arrive Karmali (28 kms away from Madgaon with no proper onward public transport) at 11:00 hrs with journey time of 10:40 hours. 12051 Jan Shatabdi takes just 08:40 hrs, 12133 Mangalore SF takes 09:05 hours and 12223 Ernakulam Duronto takes just 08:50 hours from Mumbai to Madgaon.

Meanwhile 11210 Tejas will depart Karmali at 12:20 hours to arrive Mumbai CST at 22:45 hours with journey time of 10:25 hours. People will prefer 12052 Jan Shatabdi that departs Madgaon 2 hrs 10 mins late at 14:30 hrs and arrives Dadar Just 20 minutes after this Tejas. Meaning Jan Shatabdi is faster than Tejas by full 110 minutes.
what is the use of runnjng Tejas at 130 kmph if it has to take so long to cover the distance?
We are sure it will be a flop with this run timings. Also who will prefer travelling at night hours ex Mumbai sitting in AC Chair Car after paying more fare?
