In the past,i have travelled in pune-miraj section and vice versa 2-3 times,but either i have travelled in bus or took a train like sahyadri which covers the section in night,so this time i took the 11029 mumbai kolhapur "koyna" express from pune upto miraj junction.The only train from mumbai side to cover the entire pune-miraj section in almost daylight.

Maintainence:-Good one.Toilets were clean and seats were having enough comfort for a nap!
Occupancy:-The train got emptied at pune junction,and thereafter only 30-35 people were there in C1 coach.By the time train reached sangli,hardly people were seen.General coach and 2s were packed though,not to full atleast.
Speed:-A bit crawler train,having a good amount of slack.Dont worry about its punctuality,it will be cover up the lost time.Although,the average delay of this train is 30 minutes(to my observation).
Railfanning:-Brilliant! Covers the famous "Shindwane ghats" and "Daundaj curve" in broad daylight.Also,stops at certain stations for crossing.Try not to miss the daundaj curve!
Avability:-Seats are normally avaible between pune and kolhapur.Mumbai-pune bit difficult.
Food:-Vendors regularly ply and they sell upma,lassi,chai,and lot more.Suggestion to take pack food from pune itself.

Maintenance: - Ekdam solid. Toilets saaf the aur seats mein enough comfort tha ek chhutti ke liye!
Occupancy: - Train Pune junction par saaf ho gayi, uske baad sirf 30-35 log the C1 coach mein. Sangli pahunchne tak log dikhai nahi diye zyada. General coach aur 2s bhare the, lekin full nahi.
Speed: - Train tez nahi thi, thoda sa dhime chalti thi. Chinta mat kar, time pe pohnche gi. Train ki average deri 30 minutes hai (meri observation ke hisab se).
Railfanning: - Zabardast! Famous "Shindwane ghats" aur "Daundaj curve" ko broad daylight mein cover karti hai. Kuch stations par rukti bhi hai crossing ke liye. Daundaj curve miss mat karna!
Availability: - Seats normally Pune se Kolhapur ke beech mil jaati hain. Mumbai-Pune thoda mushkil hai.
Food: - Vendors regular chalate hain aur upma, lassi, chai, aur bahut kuch bechate hain. Pune se pack food lena suggest karna hai.
Kuch miss ho gaya ya galat laga? Batao batao zara! :)
