to Indian Railways, up from ₹35,000 crore in 2014. ₹108 crore will be spent on railway safety, including track renewal, signaling, rail bridges, and Kavach. The budget is seen as a boost for Indian Railways, which is a primary mode of transportation for the lower and middle classes. With increased demand for general class travel, the railways have seen 700 crore people travel via train this financial year.

Is saal ke interim budget mein railway ko record ₹2,62,200 crore allocate kiya gaya hai, jo 2014 mein ₹35,000 crore tha. ₹108 crore railway ki suraksha mein kharch kiye jayenge, track renovation, signaling, rail bridges, aur Kavach jaise suraksha measures ke liye. Is budget se railway ko boost mila hai, railway kam aay aur madhyam varg ke logon ke liye transport ka mukhya saadhna hai. Ab general class ki yatra ki maang badh gayi hai. Is chaloo varsh mein 700 crore logon ne rail se yatra ki hai.
