The All India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF) is expected to form the third major political force in the upcoming election for the bank's director position, as they have the highest number of elected members across all zones. Other supporting groups include those representing OBC, SC/ST, RPF, and DPRMS employees. Although the Mens Union leader MK Singh claimed support from several associations, the RMC is confident in their chances. Voting for the bank's director elections took place on Wednesday and Thursday, following a Kolkata High Court order in 2010. The winners will be awarded certificates from the Personnel Department on July 30th.
