Bids were invited from interested agencies till April 30th, with a target completion time of 240 days. Surveys have been conducted for the project at various railway buildings in the Tatanagar and Chakradharpur divisions. The plan involves installing solar grids at approximately 100 out of the zone's 315 stations, including prominent ones like Tatanagar, Adityapur, Ranchi, Bokaro, Hatia, Muri, Chaibasa, Chandil, and several stations under the Adra and Kharagpur divisions. After equipping buildings with solar systems, the railway will also install solar plants on vacant land alongside the railway lines.
