Locopilots told to violate safety norms for maintaining punctuality

In a shocking incident on the Southern Railway's Salem Division, two Locopilots were pressured to run a relief engine at 50 kmph, exceeding the prescribed 15 kmph limit, to prevent train delays. This occurred after a freight train stalled between Veerapandi Road and Magudan Chavidi stations on March 14, 2024, requiring...

a relief engine to move the stalled train. Despite receiving authorization to proceed at a maximum speed of 15 kmph, the Chief Loco Inspector allegedly pressured the Locopilot to run the engine at 50 kmph, citing delays to other trains. The All India Loco Running Staff Association protested this action, arguing that the Locopilots were following safety rules and that the CLI's actions were a threat to safety. They called for the removal of such officials from safety-oriented departments.

All India Loco Running Staff Association ne is action ka protest kiya aur argue kiya ki Locopilots safety rules follow kar rahe the aur CLI ka action safety ke liye threat hai.

These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
