Why 20955/56 ST - MHV & 22989/90 BDTS - MHV exp are not running daily to MHV?
The problem is due to only one pf at MHV. At least 2 - 3 platforms are needed. After observing some pics on Google Maps of MHV, 20955 and 22989 are stabled on the 3rd line after arrival at MHV. This is so that 19205 arrives at 14.30 dept 14.50 so pf needs to be clear for passenger. 09583/84 stays overnight at pf1, departing at 0730 in the morning from MHV. To make 20955 and 22989 daily, at least 1 more pf is needed at MHV.
20955...
more... has a slot free at ST but not at MHV as it shares a slot with 22990 in return from MHV at 19.15 due to the reason mentioned. Plus ST CDO should give dedicated rake to 20955 and stop rake sharing with various specials and regulars of UDN/ ST. 22989 is a slot-sharing train from both the BDTS side and the MHV side.
/blog/post/5913555. Also, departure for 22990 should be done early at 1900 or 1830 or from MHV and as soon as 22990 departs rake for 20956 should be placed at pf. Or delay the departure of 22990 at 19.40 from MHV so that 20956's frequency can be increased to daily. And creation of new daily slot for 22989/90 is required.
An additional platform at MHV can solve this problem and Surat and Mumbai can get a daily Mahuva train each and WL problem of Mumbai Mahuva passengers and Surat Mahuva passengers is solved.
Also restarting of 59243/44 MHV RJU passenger is required.
