Express, the only direct train between CSTM and Jabalpur, has a waitlist of 299 for October 27th. Trains from Jabalpur to cities like Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Patna, and Bhagalpur are fully booked from Diwali until Chhath. Similarly, trains from Delhi, Indore, Raipur, and Jaipur to Jabalpur have no confirmed seats left, and waitlists are growing. Trains like the Garib Rath, Mahanagari, Kashi, Pawan, Patliputra Express, Howrah Mail, MP Sampark Kranti, and Dayodaya are in high demand for Tatkal tickets. Even high-fare special trains are fully booked. The LTT-Samastipur special train has a waitlist of 150 for sleeper class. Limited rail options from cities like Raipur and Jaipur are adding to the travel woes. The Garib Rath Express, scheduled to depart from Jabalpur on Saturday evening, was halted at Manmad station due to track repairs and was subsequently sent back to Jabalpur. The Garib Rath Express, departing from CSMT on Sunday, was partially canceled between CSMT and Manmad, causing inconvenience for passengers traveling from Jabalpur to Mumbai. Many passengers had to use general tickets on other trains and utilize taxis, paying high fares. The Itwari-Rewa Express (train number 11755) has been canceled on October 21st, 2024, and the Rewa-Itwari Express (train number 11756) has been canceled from its starting point in Rewa on Sunday, October 20th, due to bridge maintenance in the Nagpur division of South East Central Railway.
