One of the best trains I have travelled in so far. I travelled from Howrah to Bilaspur in AC 3-Tier and the journey was excellent
Maintains punctuality (Arrived 15 minutes before time at Bilaspur)
Food is of Good Taste and quality (By IR Standards) but the amount maybe, maybe a bit low (It was low for a big person like me :P )
...
more... - Breakfast is served when the train passes the Panskura-Kharagpur section, about 9:20 in the morning. Omelette,Fries,Boiled Vegetables,Bread,Jam,Butter,Tea/coffee and Frooti
- Lunch is served after the train departs from Tatanagar, about 12 in the noon (However soup and bread sticks were served at 10:50 itself :P ) Chicken Curry,Paranthas,Rice,Dal (Not Arhar Dal, some other type),Curd
Pickle and Ice Cream
- Evening snacks are served when the train crosses Champa, about 4:45 in the evening. Kachori,Laddu,Cheese-Carrot Sandwich,Masala Peanuts, Tea/Coffee
(I got a leg piece of a tasty chicken curry !! )
Cleanliness is maintained. Toilets were very neat and clean and the coaches were being cleaned after every meal was served and at regular intervals of about 4 hours
The train has very high priority and had only 2 unscheduled stops in the 720 km of its Journey. One at Kirodimal Nagar station and another at Bilaspur outer
Since, apart from Azad Hind Express, this is the only train connecting Kolkata and Pune, it receives good to very high patronage.
The train departs from Platform no. 22 of Howrah (Generally).
(Extra Tip : People who want a daytime journey from Howrah to Bilaspur/Raipur/Bhilai/Rajnandgaon/Dongargarh/Gond ia can take this train till Bilaspur and then hop onto Bilaspur Bikaner Express)
